Murakami Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-2 Jets Triumph
The Kennesaw Jets downed the Cut Off Crawdads, 7-2, at Jets Stadium. The Jets were led by Yoshinori Murakami. Murakami went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Ralph Wilson, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Crawdads to 1 run on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 4. The Jets raised their record to 1-2.

With Kennesaw leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Murakami came up to bat against Cut Off pitcher Phil Gulick. Murakami hit a cutter to left for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Jets on top, 5-1.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kennesaw manager Jamie Scott.
