Hermit Crabs Handle Arryns, 7-4
|
Huntington Hermit Crabs starter Tom Lollis pitched well against the Lake Erie Arryns at The Shell, leading his team to a win, 7-4. Lollis, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Joe García recorded the save, his 1st.
The Hermit Crabs got an important contribution from first baseman Nick Tobías, who in the bottom of the first hit a 2-0 fastball to right for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Hermit Crabs ahead, 2-0.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Tobías. "You've got to get results."
With the loss, Lake Erie sinks to 1-2.
