Patriots Get 5-1 Win Versus Ft. Worth
|
Eric Buchanan never let the Cattlemen get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Patriots to a win, 5-1. Buchanan picked up the win for Boston, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Phil Berry closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Emílio Rey? The Boston designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Patriots on top, 4-1. For the game, Rey had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"It feels good to get this one," Rey told the Boston Today.
Now 1-11, the 2057 Cattlemen have been wretched so far.
