Cattlemen Sting White Walkers, 5-2
|
Ft. Worth Cattlemen starter Qu-bing Li hurled his team past the Buffalo White Walkers, 5-2. The White Walkers fall to 4-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2058.
The White Walkers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Cattlemen going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old catcher Bryan Spilsbury came to the plate. Spilsbury hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 changeup from Buffalo hurler Volmer Aalbers. It was Spilsbury's 3rd double of the year.
Said losing manager Chris Lau: "Give the Cattlemen credit. They played a better game than we did."
