Newmarket got a strong outing from Marc Maxwell as the Rogues defeated the Cut Off Crawdads, 4-2, at Rogues Stadium. Bobby Spears collected save number 2. The loss drops the Crawdads to 2-2.

The Rogues got a big at-bat from right fielder Terry Smart. For the game, Smart was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Newmarket a 4-1 lead.
