Arryns Rally to Nose Past Newmarket
Newmarket got a terrific game from shortstop Jorge Zamboca. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Lake Erie, 8-7, in 11 innings. Zamboca was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 3 runs. The win puts Lake Erie at 2-2.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Lake Erie center fielder Santos Mata, facing Sean Ellis, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Arryns the 8-7 win.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Newmarket manager Clay Myers.
