Walleye Need Extra Frames to Get Past Chiefs
|
Walla Walla left-hander Rubén Montalvo helped his team edge Caldwell by the score of 3-2. Montalvo kept the opposing lineup in check. Garland Koch earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Walla Walla goes to 3-2.
Walla Walla used a timely hit from Vladsislas Nizovkin to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Walleye ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Caldwell skipper Dan Fletcher.
