Las Vegas got a valiant performance from pitcher Mike Bailie, but it wasn't enough to beat the Panama City Piranhas. Panama City won the game, 4-1. Bailie threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The win was credited to Neil Smith in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Eugene Pearce took the loss. Las Vegas falls to 8-3.

Panama City used a clutch hit from Manny Feliciano to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Piranhas ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Feliciano attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
