Rogues Earn Win with Late Rally
The Newmarket Rogues wiggled past the Cut Off Crawdads, 3-2, in 10 innings at Rogues Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Newmarket pitcher Don Alistair. Newmarket reliever Rodney Johnson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Melvin Hanna was saddled with the loss. With the win, Newmarket elevates its record to 4-2.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 22-year old catcher Mike Alexander had a chance to be the hero. Cut Off pitcher Melvin Hanna had other ideas. But with one out, Alexander hit a sacrifice fly. The Rogues had themselves a dramatic win.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Alistair. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
