Commodores Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
The 6-5 Put-In-Bay win over Cut Off was due largely to Rusty Howell. The Commodores first baseman was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the loss, Cut Off is 1-6.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 22-year old third baseman John Rodgers had a real shot to win the game. Cut Off pitcher Carlos Casas was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Rodgers hit a run-scoring single. The Commodores had a walk-off triumph.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Howell, "and then get after it again."
