The Panama City Piranhas defeated the St. Louis Coeur, 12-2. Second Baseman Nathan Pretty deserved a large share of the credit. Pretty went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 5 runs and drove in 2 for the Piranhas. Michael Shepard was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was Doug Santamarina. Panama City sits at 6-5.

Paul Young cracked a home run off Doug Santamarina in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run blast put the Piranhas on top, 4-2. In all, Young had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
