Blaze Earn Late Win
|
The South Beach Blaze did just enough to secure a victory over the Kennesaw Jets, 3-2, in 10 innings at The Ballpark on the Beach. Nobody did more than pitcher George Young. South Beach pitcher Chad Morris earned the win, hiking his record to 1-0. Hunter Holman suffered the loss. The Blaze raised their record to 5-3.
The Blaze got a clutch hit from right fielder Gregg Lee. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Blaze.
"The Blaze earned it," said Kennesaw manager Jamie Scott. "Hats off to them."
