Slumping Rogues Lose 8th Straight
Stanley Rowe was terrific for the Chicago Tula in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Newmarket Rogues. His performance earned Rowe rave reviews. Rowe yielded 1 run over 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-0. Newmarket drops to 0-8.

Chicago needed the clutch hitting of Tim Bender to seal the deal. The catcher swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tula on top, 3-0. For the game, Bender had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
