Skidding Crawdads Lose 6th Straight
|
Cut Off got a big-time effort from pitcher Sloan Sullivan, but it wasn't enough to keep the Kennesaw Jets from winning the game, 4-1. Sullivan threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The loss puts Cut Off at 2-7.
Kennesaw used a timely hit from Tim Hutchinson to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jets ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Hutchinson.
