Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Chicago Tula and Newmarket Rogues.

Though he had a terrific game, Jorge Zamboca could not prevent his team, the Newmarket Rogues, from absorbing a loss. Chicago won the game, 5-4. Zamboca went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win went to Cory Perkins in relief, making him now 1-0. Neil Snow took the loss for Newmarket. Dusty Watson picked up his 5th save of the season.

Had Larry McGuire not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, McGuire hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Tula.

Chicago manager José Ortega was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

The loss drops the Rogues to 2-7.
