Late Heroics Net Commodores 3-2 Win
|
Getting an impressive start from Francis Davis, Put-In-Bay beat Delmarva by the score of 3-2. The win was credited to Cam Stone in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Martín Orozco took the loss. The win lifts Put-In-Bay to a record of 5-5.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Put-In-Bay third baseman José Cabrera, facing Daniil Shipko, had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It gave the Commodores the 3-2 win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Put-In-Bay manager José Trejo said.
