Cut Off Crawdads starter Sloan Sullivan pitched his team past the Chicago Tula in 11 innings, 4-2. Cut Off reliever Carl Roy picked up the win to move to 1-0. Greg Kirkpatrick suffered the loss. Cut Off sits at 8-3.

Cut Off used the timely hitting of Ed Steele to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Crawdads on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Steele attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
