The Monroeville Yinzers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Pete Costa, who kept Kennesaw hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Yinzers win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. With the loss, Kennesaw sinks to 4-7.

Pancho Trujillo dealt the Jets a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Monroeville leading 1-0, Trujillo hit a full count changeup for a run-scoring single.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Monroeville manager Todd Hunter.
