New Orleans got a strong outing from Wes Johnston as the Voodoo defeated the Long Island Lighthouse, 5-2, at The Voodoo Lounge. Long Island, now 3-9, continues its tough start.

The Voodoo got a big at-bat from first baseman Pepe Santos. For the game, Santos was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave New Orleans a 3-0 lead.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Johnston, "and then get after it again."
