Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Hobeaus
|
Wanko Wasko was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Smokies Stadium. In fact, the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus left-hander was instrumental in his team's 1-0 victory over the Huntington Hermit Crabs. Albert Longoria notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. The Hobeaus raised their record to 5-7.
The Hobeaus got a clutch hit from right fielder Reginald Parker. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hobeaus.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Parker said.
