The home crowd had a good time watching the South Beach Blaze and Eugene Vandals get after it.

The Eugene Vandals beat the South Beach Blaze, 6-2, at The Riot Zone. Eugene left fielder Bobby Rush banged out 2 singles and 1 double, while driving in 3 runs. After losing, South Beach is 8-4.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Rush hit a sinker from José Castro for a 2-run single, putting Eugene up, 6-2.

Eugene manager Milton Mathews was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
