Lake Erie Arryns starter Rick Walton led his team to victory over the Newmarket Rogues, 4-2. The left-hander was locked-in. Oscar Moore earned the save for Lake Erie, his 4th. Lake Erie, now 8-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Mike Hancock cracked a home run off Juan Cruz in the bottom of the first. His 2-run blast put the Arryns on top, 2-0. In all, Hancock had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
