Coeur Earn 4-3 Win Versus Grey Wolves
|
The St. Louis Coeur picked up a win at The BFIB, downing the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for St. Louis was right-hander Craig Lucas, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Grey Wolves fall to 4-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
The Coeur nabbed the win, in part because of right fielder Chia-ch'ing Chen. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Lucas said in his postgame press conference.
