Arryns Collect 5-3 Win Over Vandals
The Arryns earned a hard-fought, 5-3 win in 10 innings at The Riot Zone. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Eugene pitcher Spike Mayer. Mayer went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Curt Keeley snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2.2 innings. He's now 1-0 on the season. Yuk Yan closed out the game, earning his 5th save.

Lake Erie took a 4-3 lead on Carl Watson's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Watson hit in the top of the tenth, left Eugene pitcher Mark Sims visibly frustrated.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Arryns manager Louis Espinosa.

With the win, Lake Erie elevates its record to 7-7.
