Jets Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Eugene Vandals could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Brian Myers into a win. Instead, the Kennesaw Jets prevailed, 8-2. Myers threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. With the win, Kennesaw elevates its record to 6-10.
Kennesaw used the clutch hitting of Nick Watson to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Jets the lead, 4-2. For the game, Watson had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
"They just got us," said Eugene manager Milton Mathews, "and that's all I can say."
