Yánez Lays Hammer Down in 2-0 Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Kennesaw Jets and the South Beach Blaze, Luis Yánez was the X factor. The Kennesaw right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Adam Shirley earned the save for Kennesaw, his 4th. The loss drops the Blaze to 8-8.

The Jets liked what they saw from Yánez. The 21-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Blaze to no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 11.

"Luis pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Kennesaw manager Roberto Ríos.
