In a tight tilt between the South Beach Blaze and the Monroeville Yinzers, Ron Haley was the deciding factor. The South Beach right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Jody Ross earned the save, his 2nd, for the Blaze. The Yinzers drop to 7-9 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2063 season.

Alvin Gardner, who is tied for 3rd in the PA in triples with 1, had a direct impact on the outcome. Gardner contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put South Beach up, 2-0.

South Beach manager Gerald Merendino praised his team's "businesslike approach."
