Reapers Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
The performance of Santiago Rodríguez proved critical in helping Grim beat South Beach, 4-3. The Reapers third baseman was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Pancho Maldonado in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eduardo Ojeda took the loss. Andrew Shirley recorded the save for Grim, his 5th of the season.

Rodríguez had a timely hit for Grim in the bottom of the sixth. With Grim trailing 3-2, he turned a first pitch slider into a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season, making it 4-3, Grim.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Rodríguez.

Losses have been rare for the Blaze, who are now 12-5.
