John Baker could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Kennesaw Jets lost, dropping a 1-0 decision to the South Beach Blaze at Jets Stadium. Manny Sexton sewed up the save, his 5th. The Jets drop to 8-9 and continue their mediocre start to the 2061 season.

South Beach won the game in part because of Jiao-long Tow. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Blaze ahead, 1-0. For the game, Tow had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We take it day by day here," said Tow, "and today was a good one for us."
