Streaking Blue Dragons Win Another One, 3-2
|
The Levittown Blue Dragons had to overcome a good performance from South Beach pitcher Mark Moss to claim a 3-2 win at The Cave at Levittown. Moss went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winning pitcher was Robert Shafer. He tossed 96 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. Clancy Turner picked up the save for Levittown, his 8th of the year.
Levittown took advantage of an error in the bottom of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Jay Dixon hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Blue Dragons in front, 3-1.
"We'll enjoy this ride as long as it lasts," said Blue Dragons manager Justin Broadfoot.
The Blue Dragons raised their record to 12-6.
