Kennesaw Jets starter Glenn Murphy pitched well against the Eugene Vandals at The Riot Zone, leading his team to a win, 5-1. Earning his 7th save for Kennesaw was Ron Lee. Eugene is 8-10 after the defeat.

Tied up with the Vandals in the top of the fourth inning, the Jets got a boost from catcher Steven Harris. With the bases loaded, Harris saw a 2-0 fastball from Byron Combs and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Kennesaw on top, 1-0.
