Behind a solid performance from left fielder Pierre-Yves Robin, the South Beach Blaze defeated the Monroeville Yinzers, 8-1. Robin was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Blaze. With the loss, Monroeville falls to 8-10.

South Beach used a well-timed hit by Luis Villarreal to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Blaze ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blaze manager Gerald Merendino, "I like our chances."
