South Beach Pins 3-1 Loss on Hermit Crabs
|
The South Beach Blaze downed the Huntington Hermit Crabs, 3-1, at The Shell. Julius Hicks led the way, going 3-for-4 for South Beach. Chad Morris wrapped it up, recording his 8th save. The win brings the Blaze to 11-8, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for José Rangel? The South Beach designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Blaze on top, 2-0. For the game, Rangel had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It was sure nice to get the win but there's a lot of baseball left," Rangel after the game.
