The Kennesaw Jets defeated the Newmarket Rogues, 7-4, in part because of first baseman Ron Wybergh. Wybergh went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Jets. The Rogues, now 5-14, continue their sluggish start.

Yoshinori Murakami, who is tied for 10th in the PA in bases on balls with 9, took Newmarket hurler Juan Zanudo deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 2-run home run put the Jets on top, 4-3. In all, Murakami had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
