Hermit Crabs Squelch Blaze Offense in Shutout Win
Ángel Núñez never let the Blaze get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Hermit Crabs to a win, 5-0. Núñez yielded no runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-0. Huntington currently is in second place in the Premier A at 11-9.

The Hermit Crabs picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

Said losing manager Gerald Merendino: "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
