Bullets Win, 6-5, in 11

The Baltimore Bullets had to overcome a fine effort from Ft. Worth pitcher Jesús Rosas to win, 6-5, at The Cattle Pen. Rosas went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Baltimore reliever Alfonso Crisci snagged the win, upping his record to 2-1. Jack Hammer shouldered the loss. The defeat makes Ft. Worth 8-7.
Baltimore used the timely hitting of Gale Boetticher to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Bullets on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Boetticher.
