Reapers CF Cruz has 3 hits today in Win

The Grim Reapers powered past the Caldwell Chiefs, 8-3, at Pipers Ballpark. Ramón Cruz was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4, to lead the charge. Nolan Macarandang earned the save for Grim, his 1st of the year. With the win, Grim goes to 11-10, while the Chiefs fall to 9-12.
Cruz had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the sixth, when he hit a run-scoring triple. The Reapers went on to win.
"We played hard and won," said Cruz. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
