Tula Reel Off Another Win
|
The first-place Chicago Tula took on the Eugene Vandals in front of a spirited crowd.
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Dwaine Louch, the Chicago Tula defeated the Eugene Vandals, 5-2. Louch was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Tula. Chicago has run its win streak to 6 consecutive.
Johnny Walker dealt the Vandals a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Chicago leading 1-0, Walker, who is tied for 8th in the PA in RBI with 14, hit a 2-2 slider for a 2-run single.
"We've been playing some good baseball," Louch told the Chicago Today. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
