The Delmarva Gallos and Chicago Tula put on a pitchers' duel.
The Delmarva Gallos got a magnificent effort from pitcher Alfonso Crisci, who kept Chicago hitters in check en route to a 2-0 Gallos win at Ramblers Ballpark. Crisci picked up the win for Delmarva, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2.
Amador Espach had a direct impact on the outcome. Espach contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the eighth inning to put Delmarva up, 2-0.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Delmarva skipper Félix Martínez.
The Gallos, at 8-13, sit in 9th place in the Premier A.
