The Delmarva Gallos beat the South Beach Blaze, 4-1, at The Cage. Starting pitcher Fa-tang Guang was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Delmarva reliever Britt Peck picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Juan Castillo absorbed the loss. Juan González was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.
Ray McKenzie, who is tied for 9th in the PA with a .491 slugging percentage, came through for Delmarva with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. The catcher went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 1 RBI.
"Nothing fazes Fa-tang," said Delmarva manager Félix Martínez.
The 6th-place Gallos are 10-11.
