Newmarket Rogues starter Ahobala Lalima pitched his team past the Cut Off Crawdads, 5-2. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Sean Ellis. The win gives the Rogues a record of 6-16.
Had Norbert Jones not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Jones hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rogues.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Lalima.
