The Put-In-Bay Commodores and Eugene Vandals played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Put-In-Bay pitcher Tazz Jones had a large part in his team subduing the Eugene Vandals, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The save went to Sancho Sánchez, his 3rd this season.

"When he's dealing, Tazz is a tough customer," said Put-In-Bay manager José Trejo.
