Rogues Stadium was the site for USPL Single A action featuring the Newmarket Rogues and Cut Off Crawdads.
A good performance from left fielder Ka-fei Fong helped the Cut Off Crawdads defeat the Newmarket Rogues, 4-1. Fong went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Crawdads. Mike Hayes came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Bonifacio Juárez picked up the save for Cut Off, his 4th of the year.
Cut Off took a 4-0 lead on Fong's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off George Betchley in the top of the sixth, propelled Cut Off to the win.
Fong called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
The last-place Rogues now sit at 8-15.
