In a tight game between the Eugene Vandals and the Chicago Tula, pitcher Spike Mayer was terrific on the mound. The Eugene right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. Picking up the save was Jeff Rodríguez, his 4th. Their 12-14 record puts the Vandals 8th in the Premier A.

Santiago Vargas, who is tied for 10th in the PA in runs scored with 14, aided the Eugene cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles.
