The Walla Walla Walleye picked up a win at Walleye Tank, topping the Levittown Blue Dragons, 4-3. On the mound for Walla Walla was right-hander Daniel Shields. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner was Shields. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Carlos Guzmán. The Walleye now have a mark of 11-16.

A critical at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning when the Walleye sent 20-year-old shortstop Brent Pelaez to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Walla Walla on top, 4-2.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Pelaez said in reaction to the win.
