The Cut Off Crawdads went home winners at The Cage, thanks in large part to starter Brooks Mason. Mason stifled the Delmarva Gallos, enabling Cut Off to grab the 5-1 win. Mason yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-2. Jay Whitney earned the save for Cut Off, his 1st of the year.

Cut Off used the hitting of Luis Antonio Rivas to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Crawdads on top, 2-0. For the game, Rivas had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

In comments to the Cut Off Bulletin, Mason insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.

The losing streak for Delmarva has now reached 4 games.
