Commodores Earn Win with Late Rally
Put-In-Bay right fielder José Cabrera was instrumental in helping the Commodores triumph, 6-5, over the South Beach Blaze. Cabrera hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. At 15-13, the Commodores claim 4th place in the Premier A.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Put-In-Bay. That's when Tomás Hernández hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Robert Martin to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Gerald Merendino.
