The Alaskan Bush Pilots had to overcome a fine effort from Eugene pitcher David Mann to win, 2-1, at Bush Pilots Park. Mann went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jim Carter nailed down the save. Alaskan's record now stands at 12-17, placing them last in the Premier A.

Willard Case had a big solo home run for the Bush Pilots in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Alaskan leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from David Mann, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2061 draft, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Bush Pilots on top, 2-0.
