Newmarket Skunked by Yánez, 4-0
|
Luis Yánez had an impressive outing at Jets Stadium, hurling the Kennesaw Jets to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Newmarket Rogues.
"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Newmarket skipper Clay Myers said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."
On the day, the right-handed Yánez yielded 4 hits and tallied 9 strikeouts with 1 walk.
