The Monroeville Yinzers defeated the Kennesaw Jets, 3-1, in part because of shortstop Max Christie. Christie went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs for the Yinzers. Monroeville is now 17-15.
Christie had a timely hit for Monroeville in the top of the seventh. With Monroeville trailing 1-0, he turned a first pitch fastball into a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season, making it 3-1, Monroeville.
