The Chicago Tula picked up a win at Ramblers Ballpark, knocking off the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 7-3. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Kip Hill. He played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Hill. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Steven Cowan. Picking up the save was José Tapia, his 1st.

The Tula got an important contribution from second baseman Gus Thomlinson, who in the bottom of the fourth knocked a 0-1 fastball to left-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Tula ahead, 5-1.

"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Alaskan manager .

The Tula saw their record improve to 20-13.
