Huntington got a decent performance from pitcher Lou Anderson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Put-In-Bay Commodores. Put-In-Bay won the The Shell contest, 4-1. Anderson threw 9.0 innings of 7-hit ball for the losing team. Vicente Fernández earned the save for Put-In-Bay, his 5th. Put-In-Bay is 9th in the Premier A with a record of 14-19.

Put-In-Bay used a well-timed hit by Soshu Kokawa to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Commodores ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
