Jets 2-1 Winners Over Monroeville
Rod Palmer never let Monroeville get something going. The Kennesaw right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Jets to a 2-1 win. Palmer, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Kennesaw bumps their record to 16-17 with the win.

Steven Harris's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 1-1. The Kennesaw catcher hit a run-scoring single off Ogai Sugimoto to put the Jets up.
