Werner Brings A-Game, Vandals Beat Rogues
|
Stanley Werner pitched a gem in leading Eugene to a 2-0 victory over the Newmarket Rogues. Jeff Rodríguez earned the save for Eugene. The Vandals move to 17-19 with the win, while the Rogues drop to 18-18.
Werner ran roughshod over the Newmarket lineup. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 6. With the victory, he goes to 3-3 on the season.
"I felt like I had pretty good command of mostly everything," said Werner.
